Then, as the interview continued, they discussed the hip-hop star's recent health issues, where Ross reveals that although he hasn't changed his lifestyle much, he's trying. Which TV stars are most overpaid?

Adam Rose / Warner Bros Ashton Kutcher on "Two and a Half Men." According to a study by The Los Angeles Times, Kutcher makes only $1.16 per viewer, while Chelsea Handler makes $16.70 per viewer. By Cody Delistraty Chelsea Handler is the most overpaid celebrity on TV and Ashton Kutcher should be asking for a hefty raise, according to a semi-scientific study conducted by The Los Angeles Times . The Times study divided the salaries of TV personalities by the average number of viewers their show attracts, ranking them according to how much money they make per viewer. Handler, who makes $12 million, attracts only 718,000 viewers on average, which works out to the comedienne earning an astonishing $16.70 for each viewer the most of any TV personality. While the study fails to account for the fact that some performers tape 200 or more episodes per year (Jon Stewarts Daily Show, for example) or the importance of attracting a young demographic (well give you that, Chelsea) or the fac...

TV stars are paid to get ratings, but salary isnt always reflected in viewship

TV stars are paid to get ratings, but salary isnt always reflected in viewship By SCOTT COLLINS Los Angeles Times Chelsea Handler may not have a lot of viewers, but she gets paid a lot of dough for the ones she does have on "Chelsea Lately." Jon Stewart is likewise laughing all the way to the bank. And its time for CNNs Anderson Cooper to come out ... as possibly overpaid. But not every TV star triumphed at the negotiating table with the network suits. Ashton Kutcher may have nabbed $17 million a year to replace Charlie Sheen on "Two and a Half Men," but thats not necessarily a kings ransom given that sitcoms popularity (its also less than Sheen made). Ted Danson cut CBS a real bargain for his services on "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation." And Jennifer Lopez and Ryan Seacrest? The folks at "American Idol" are getting them for a song. Those are some of the conclusions from a look at the earning power of a select group of television actors and hosts...

Jenny McCarthy Asks Chelsea Handler Why She Didn't Get Nude For 'Playboy' On 'Chelsea Lately' Jenny McCarthy was on " Chelsea Lately " (Mon., 11 p.m. ET on E!), and while she's the new host of the reality dating competition series " Love in the Wild ," that didn't prove nearly as interesting a topic as her latest spread in "Playboy" magazine. At 39-years old, McCarthy returned to her roots in the men's magazine, with an eight-page pictorial. It was in "Playboy" that she first achieved fame at 20 years old. Nearly two decades later, she was fearless in posing again for the magazine. But even that wasn't what got Chelsea Handler's attention. She wanted to talk about McCarthy's lack of natural coverage down there, dubbing it "full Pi...

Elizabeth Banks Pretends To Be Chelsea Handler To Stay Anonymous

Image
Elizabeth Banks admitted to pretending to be Chelsea Handler in order to keep her anonymity. While promoting her new film People Like Us, which hit theaters this past Friday, Banks told Fox411s PopTarts that she will often agree that she is the popular comedienne to remain under the radar. It helps me when someone says, oh, youre Chelsea Handler and I say yes I am, the 38-year-old actress said. Banks, who recently starred in The Hunger Games, said she met Handler at a party and thought she was a great broad, a real wit. Apparently Handler also gets mistaken for Banks , but the Chelsea Lately star hasnt pretended to be Banks, at least not yet. The two seem to have fun with the fact that they get confused for each other. Last year, Banks went on Chelsea Lately to promote Our Idiot Brother and Handler told the audience, My twin sister is here everybody. Banks even confessed that she signed an autograph as Chelsea Handler for a fan in Toronto. Why would a high profile, money making mach...

Banks Seeks Anonymity

Theyre both blonde with flawless figures and an unmistakably sharp wit, and it seems actress Elizabeth Banks takes full advantage of her uncanny likeness to comedian Chelsea Handler. I dont mind being compared to Chelsea Handler at all. It helps me when someone says, oh, youre Chelsea Handler and I say yes I am. That gives me one more gain of anonymity, Banks told FOX411s Pop Tarts, while promoting her new film People Like Us , which opens in theaters Friday. We met at a party and we were both aware people compared or confused us. Shes a great broad, a real wit. And although Banks is fast becoming one of the big-banking Hollywood screen stars with a recurring role in 30 Rock and a much-coveted part in The Hunger Games, it turns out that she turned to acting only as a result of a severe sporting injury. I broke my leg sliding into third base at softball practice. I was a good softball player and I needed something else to do after school, and I couldnt run anymore so I started singing i...
