OFFSTAGE: Jake Owen Explains Florida to Chelsea Handler

Last week, Jake Owen headed out to Los Angeles to spend some time chatting with Chelsea Handler on Chelsea Lately. And their first topic? Florida -- the state where Owen was born and raised. But only Handler could ask the question about his hometown with so much contempt and get away with it. "Do you wanna explain that state?" she asked him. "Vero Beach, Fla.? My friend is from there and she calls it Zero Beach, Fla., because there is nothing going on," Handler added. Owen didn't seem offended, but he did defend the town by saying a lot of girls come to visit in the summer. And it can't be that bad of a place to hang your hat because Owen's twin brother Jarrod still lives and works there in the insurance business. He said Jarrod will call him in the middle of the night saying, "Dude, just say hey to this chick really quick." I'd love to know how that's working out for Jarrod and what other country stars have siblings who call them in the middle of the night to confirm their relationship.
