Rumor: Chelsea Handler Told to Stop the Matt Lauer Jokes

Chelsea Handlerhas been warned to lay off theMatt Lauerjokes, according toNew York Magazine, picking up a report from theNew York Post.

The site says Handler was admonished by Comcast executives for humorously linking last weeksAl Rokerpants-pooping admissionto his Today Show colleague Lauer.

This isnt the first time aTodayshow cast member was in the news about this sensitive subject, Handler joked on herE!show. For years it was common knowledge that Matt Lauer spent every morning sh**ing all overAnn Curry.

The digsupposedlylanded the late-night host in hot water with her bosses, as E! and NBC are corporate cousins.

Chelseas writers were warned to lay off Matt, aPostsource is quoted as saying. They dont want them making more fun of Matt and the Ann Curry situation right now.

So is there really a ban on Lauer jokes for Chelsea Lately.
