Chelsea Handler paid $500 to have cigarettes delivered
It's common knowledge comedian and talk-show host Chelsea Handler used to have a bit of what you'd call a drinking problem, but even though she swears she's cut back, you can tell it still makes her do dumb things. Like pay $500 to have a pack of cigarettes delivered.
According to the NewYork Daily News, Handler told podcast WTF withMarc Maron on Monday she was having drinks with friends at her Bel Air home, and since she was drinking, she decided she wanted to smoke, which she is wont to do. She didn't want to drive, so she called Yummy.com, an area grocery delivery service. So sad, they said, because her home was out of their delivery range. That doesn't stop a big star like Chelsea Handler.
"I called them back and said 'I will give you $500 if you bring me a pack of Capris.' And they're like, 'What are Capris?'" she said. "I'm like 'They're for Russian hookers and we need a pack of Capris and I will give you $500.'"
The idiots there actually believed her, so they showed up expecting $500 in cash, but wouldn't ya know? Chelesea couldn't pay.
"I didn't even have my wallet here, it's at work," she said, "so I didn't even have the money so (my friend) had to use her money. ... I'm such a loser!" Oh come now, Chelsea, most of us aren't even delusional enough to think a single pack of smokes is worth five Franklins, so you're already a few up on us.
