Chelsea Handler may be one of the most hilarious, vulgar women in comedy, but not everything in her life is a funny matter.

The New York Daily News reported the comedian appeared on the Rosie Show Wednesday and opened up about an abortion she had when she was 16 years old.

"I was so delusional," the 36-year-old said. "I was like, 'I'm ready for a baby.'"

>Us Weekly, Handler told host Rosie ODonnell that she was more than excited to be a teen mom, but her parents were very much against the idea.

"I was trying to argue with them and they were like, 'You don't understand," she said. "'You're throwing your entire life away. You're not having a child right now. This is not what our family's about. You know, you're supposed to create a life for yourself, and we want you to enjoy your life and not be raising a child. And we're certainly not going to raise it for you.'"

In the end, the Are You There, Chelsea? star gave into her parents pleas and terminated her pregnancy.

Twenty years later, Handler said she has no regrets about not keeping the child.

"I wouldn't be a good mother," she said. "You should do whatever you want with your body and you shouldn't let anyone tell you what to do."

Teen pregnancy is not something to laugh about. Lets hop! e other pregnant teens listen to her advice.
