OFFSTAGE: Blake Shelton Belongs in Chelsea Handler's Other Chair

Blake Shelton makes a Tuesday night (Aug. 7) appearance on Chelsea Lately and will be sitting in one of her comfy made-for-talk-shows chairs. But don't be surprised if one day, Shelton sits at the grown-ups' table, where host Chelsea Handler and her handful of handpicked comedians bash celebrities and the tabloids where they live. "We deserve -- as a country music industry -- to be on Chelsea Lately's roundtable," Shelton told CMT Radio. "As a country music industry, we deserve to be recognized as funny ... and even though we're really not, we deserve the chance to be. And I wanna be that guy." Shelton has already proven himself to be funny and then some using Twitter and The Voice as his stages, so I think he'd be a natural at Handler's roundtable. Can you imagine him taking on the Kardashians, Miley Cyrus and the Olsen twins (some of Handler's most frequent victims)?
