Shia LaBeouf Says He Got 'Nymphomaniac' Role After Sending Lars Von Trier A Sex Tape [VIDEO]

Shia LaBeouf landed his role in the coming film "Nymphomaniac" by sending a tape of himself having sex to director Lars von Trier. LaBeouf told "Chelsea Lately" host Chelsea Handler that the multiple tapes depict him having sex with his girlfriend Karolyn Pho.

"I sent him videotapes of me and my girlfriend having sex, and that's how I got the job," LaBeouf told Handler during the interview that aired Wednesday night.

This news comes after LaBeouf told MTV that the sex scenes in "Nymphomaniac" will show the former "Even Stevens" actor having actual, not simulated, sex.

"It is what you think it is. There's a disclaimer at the top of the script that basically says we're doing it for real," LaBeouf said. "Everything that's illegal we'll shoot in blurred images. Other than that, everything's happening."

Nicole Kidman and Stellan Skarsgrd are also slated to star in "Nymphomaniac," which Gawker reports will follow the sexual development of a woman -- played by Charlotte Gainsbourg -- from her birth up through adulthood.

This news comes after Shia LaBeouf's admission that he dropped acid for an upcoming role. LaBeouf also went fully nude in a Sigur Ros music video and said he was drunk during parts of his performance in the upcoming "Lawless," according to Entertainment Wise. To get into the headspace of his "Lawless" character ,a 1930s ga! ngster, LaBeouf drank moonshine.

Earlier this week Radar Online reported that Karolyn Pho is less than thrilled with LaBeouf's method acting. LaBeouf's relationship with the fashion designer has reportedly gone south since he got the role in "Nymphomaniac," leading some to suspect that Pho might not have been happy with von Trier seeing the couple during their intimate moments.

"She wants him to do the film, because Shia was desperate to work with Lars -- he's such a hero of his," a source reportedly told Radar. "And she doesn't mind if he strips off completely -- she had no qualms about the Sigur Ros music video. But Karolyn doesn't want him having sex with somebody else."
